Team Build Momentum to take on Three Peaks Challenge

3 mountains in 24 hours

Following the successful completion of other similar challenges over the last two years, the Build Momentum team have decided to take on The Three Peaks Challenge in June 2018.  This involves ascending (and descending) the highest mountain in each of Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike) and Wales (Snowdon) all in under 24 hours.  This challenge is said to be one of the ultimate tests of physical endurance, mental stamina and effective teamwork.  We will have to walk through physical fatigue (and the night) as we trek over 25 miles of rough and rocky terrain, whilst battling against unpredictable weather conditions throughout and ascending a total of almost 3500m.

Our team raised close to £6,000 for various charities last year and we hope to do even better for our chosen charity – Brainbow – this year. Launched in 2013, Brainbow is a unique partnership between independent charities – Anna’s Hope, Camille’s Appeal, Tom’s Trust, and Joshua Tarrant Trust – working with Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge to fund and provide a pioneering rehabilitation service in the East of England for all children with brain tumours.
