Barns Construction have started on site this month on the £5m Semiar Building. Work is due to be completed by July 2015.
The 1,000 square metre, steel framed two-storey building has been designed by Cambridge architect, RH Partnership. When completed the seminar building will provide a much needed addition to the College’s supervision and teaching facilities.
Located on Adams Road, the main cycle route into Cambridge, the permanent structure has been designed to create extra space to accommodate the academic requirements of the College. The resulting space will consist of a well-appointed and equipped plenary flat-floored room offering classroom facilities for 80 people.
