Build Momentum to tackle the Cotswold Way Challenge

All the way from Bath to Cheltenham (for charity)

Following the Build Momentum team’s successful completion of the 2016 London 2 Cambridge Challenge we will be taking on another of the Ultra Challenge Series events in 2017 – The Cotswold Way Challenge. This time we will be walking from Bath to Cheltenham starting on Saturday 1st July and, hopefully, finishing in the early hours of the morning on Sunday 2nd July. This will involve walking 100km in around 24 hours. We will be setting off from Royal Victoria Park, Bath at around 7am on the Saturday morning and will arrive (if 2016’s experience is anything to go by) tired, hungry and broken at the Dean Close School in Cheltenham in the early hours of the Sunday morning.

Whilst the London 2 Cambridge Challenge was physically and mentally extremely tough, especially as none of us had walked that kind of distance before, the one factor that kept us all going was the fact that so many people had been generous enough to sponsor us. In total, our team raised over £5,000 for Cancer Research UK which was a great effort for a very worthy cause. This year each team member has selected a charity which has some personal significance to them therefore we will be raising money for The MS Society (Multiple Sclerosis), Tommy’s (pregnancy problems charity) and Cancer Research UK.

If you would be kind enough to sponsor us for The Cotswold Way Challenge 2017 to assist us in raising money for any of our chosen charities, you can do so via our fundraising page via the link below. We will update you on our progress as we get closer to the main event. Thank you for taking the time out to read this article.
